Pilates and the Fluid Body is a specialized training for movement professionals ready to expand their knowledge of the body’s internal healing systems. Moving beyond muscular and fascial approaches, this workshop explores the essential roles of the lymphatic, venous, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF/glymphatic) systems in:

  1. Relieving pressure in the cranium, spinal canal, and pelvis
  2. Resolving persistent tightness and headaches that do not respond to stretching or muscular interventions
  3. Regulating the nervous system and improving sleep quality
  4. Restoring homeostasis, energy, and resilience

When fluid flow becomes stagnant—due to stress, shallow breathing, whiplash, injury, inflammation, or poor posture—the body’s ability to recover, regulate, and perform is significantly compromised.

This workshop integrates clinical physiology with the Pilates method, blending assessment strategies, manual and movement interventions, and breathwork practices. Participants will learn how to observe, assess, and influence fluid dynamics to support optimal circulation and client recovery.

Whether you’re working with active movers, clients recovering from illness, or individuals struggling with fatigue, sleep disturbance, or dysregulation, this training will give you tools to:

  • Reduce swelling, pressure, and pain
  • Enhance movement quality
  • Regulate the nervous system
  • Support resilience and recovery through a fluid-first lens

Registration closes 24 hours prior to the start time of the workshop.  All sales final.  Paid participants will receive a video recording with access for one week for online workshops only.  Click button below to register OR purchase all 3 Synergy Series workshops and receive 20% OFF.

During this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Describe the anatomy and function of the craniospinal venous, cerebrospinal, lymphatic, and glymphatic systems, and explain their roles in systemic health.
  • Recognize signs and symptoms of fluid stagnation or dysfunction (e.g., fatigue, swelling, brain fog, poor sleep, pressure headaches, pelvic pressure).
  • Understand the relationship between an upregulated sympathetic nervous system and the redistribution of fluid in the body.
  • Conduct basic palpatory and movement-based assessments to evaluate fluid flow.
  • Integrate drainage techniques, breathwork, and fluid-focused movement strategies into Pilates sessions to enhance supply and recovery.
  • Apply a fluid-first perspective when designing sessions for clients with systemic inflammation, chronic stress, post-viral fatigue, or sleep dysregulation.
  • Educate clients on the role of fluid drainage and flow for recovery, immunity, and energy—equipping them with simple, sustainable home practices.
