Synergy Series: Pilates & The Fluid Body: Assessing & Restoring the Circulation Systems of the Body
Saturday, February 28, 2026, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm PST streaming online
**All sales final**
This Workshop is ONLY FOR:
- Pilates instructors with a minimum of 1 year of experience working 1:1 with clients.
- Must have taken an anatomy class and must review basics of vascular system
- STOTT PILATES Injuries and Special Populations (or similar) recommendedÂ
Workshop Description
Pilates and the Fluid Body is a specialized training for movement professionals ready to expand their knowledge of the body’s internal healing systems. Moving beyond muscular and fascial approaches, this workshop explores the essential roles of the lymphatic, venous, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF/glymphatic) systems in:
- Relieving pressure in the cranium, spinal canal, and pelvis
- Resolving persistent tightness and headaches that do not respond to stretching or muscular interventions
- Regulating the nervous system and improving sleep quality
- Restoring homeostasis, energy, and resilience
When fluid flow becomes stagnant—due to stress, shallow breathing, whiplash, injury, inflammation, or poor posture—the body’s ability to recover, regulate, and perform is significantly compromised.
This workshop integrates clinical physiology with the Pilates method, blending assessment strategies, manual and movement interventions, and breathwork practices. Participants will learn how to observe, assess, and influence fluid dynamics to support optimal circulation and client recovery.
Whether you’re working with active movers, clients recovering from illness, or individuals struggling with fatigue, sleep disturbance, or dysregulation, this training will give you tools to:
- Reduce swelling, pressure, and pain
- Enhance movement quality
- Regulate the nervous system
- Â Support resilience and recovery through a fluid-first lens
Synergy Series: Anatomy of a Research Article: Reading Research to Determine What Information Applies to Your Pilates ClientsÂ
Friday, June 12, 2026, 2 pm - 5 pm PST streaming online
**This session will be recorded and available to all registrants for 7 days.**
**All sales final**
This Workshop is ONLY FOR:
- Movement professionals with Pilates training (mat and reformer preferred).
- Participants with access to a computer and ability to use search engines.
- English reading ability required.
- No prior research experience necessary.
Workshop Description:
In today’s environment of abundant online education, conflicting social media sound bites, and claims of “evidence-based best practice,” it can be challenging to discern what research is trustworthy and relevant to your clients. While there is evidence to support many approaches to exercise and movement re-education, understanding how to evaluate that evidence can feel overwhelming.
This workshop is designed to build your knowledge and critical reasoning skills so you can confidently interpret research. For example, a study on balance for active older adults that excludes people with low back pain, postural issues, or a history of ankle sprains may have limited application to your Pilates clients.
You’ll learn the foundations of searching, reading, and interpreting research articles. Using examples from the literature on Pilates, presenters will walk you through the main components of randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews. By the end, you’ll gain practical skills to read these article types and complete an introductory-level critical review.
