Introduction to Dynamic Assessment & Clinical Reasoning for Movement Professionals

Friday, February 16, 4pm - 6pm PST

Livestreaming on Zoom

Working alongside complex injured clients is a delicate balance between art and science. For any individual, there can be multiple issues that result in pain, many of which are difficult to see initially. As a movement professional, your most important skills are knowing where to start when assessing movement, how to interpret the clues, and then how to progress and unwind your most perplexing clients based on that information.

Introduction to Dynamic Assessment & Clinical Reasoning for Movement Professionals is a two-hour virtual workshop taught by Master Instructor, Melanie Byford-Young, and is designed to connect these subtle movement patterns in a systematic way. Created for certified Pilates professionals and physical therapists with a minimum of 1 year of experience, this workshop is a perfect start for anyone who wishes to advance their skills using a movement-focused assessment program for their one-on-one work with clients.

Mari O’Neill, Licensed Movement Professional

"I use the dynamic assessment with almost every client as part of the evaluation and re-evaluation. The most compelling and exciting aspect is gaining further insight how the whole body is connected, increasing my skill on movement assessment, and integrating optimal movement through the whole body in treatment."

Christina Fairhurst, Certified Pilates Instructor

"I have found Melanie to be an invaluable resource for all things related to therapeutic teaching, anatomy and movement, and look forward to learning more from her!"

Leah Bueno, Certified Pilates Instructor

"Melanie is a wealth of knowledge, but more importantly a kind educator. So much of how I think about the body is thanks to Melanie. She has taught me to look beyond my clients sight of pain and use highly informed clinical reasoning to get to the root of the dysfunction."
